Default 2001 Convertible Stereo Problem

Hello,

I recently purchased a pre owned 2001 Mustang Convertible (v-6, not GT). It has the standard 6 CD AM/FM stereo. But I have a small problem.

When the engine is running, the stereo emits an annoying buzzing sound. When the engine is off, the stereo is fine. What could cause this and what can I do to stop it? I have the bumper to bumper warranty, but do not want to go a day without my mustang over a simple solution.

Thanks,

Moore

Unhappy Feedback

This is generally caused by interference from the ingnition system. You could attempt to eliminate the problem by installing a "filter".

Since your car is under warranty I would bring iot back to a dealership. If you perform repairs you may void the warranty.
