Default Amp install

I am trying to put an amp in my car and it isnt going very well. The head unit has a seperate control for a sub, and hook ups for RCA jacks. I am hooking an 8 inch sub to this amp. I Ran a real thick wire to the battery (it has an in line fuse), grounded the Amp to the floor and ran the RCA cables from the line out to the head unit. There is a plug w/ 4 wires on the amp. Does one of these have to go to the fusebox? As it stands, I have no power to the amp. I am assuming I missed something...

one of those wires is the remote wire....that has to be connected to the back of the headunit...i honestly dont rememebr which wire youll have to strip and connect the remote wire to...its been a while...but thatll stop the amp from coming on, cuz the remote wire triggers it as an on/off switch when the headunit (car) turns on, the amp will switch on too...but not without that connection! so basically you need to find someone who's done an installation recently...this isnt the best forum for that...look around online...ask for some help in some kind of stereo forum..

sorry

well sounds like you've got ground and power. More than likey you just don't have the remote wire hooked up. There should be a wire in the back of you head unit labeled "remote" or something simmilar, Run that from the HU to your amp. Then you should be in bussiness.

Remote is usually a blue with white stripe wire on the back of the CD player
