radio replacement
Hey guys,
Does the radio in the Mach 460 system contain the amps or are they seperate? Can the radio be replaced with an aftermarket stereo and still keep the 460 watts? Any radio suggestions? Thanks

The amps are seperate. The one for the front speakers is on the trans hump bekind the center console. The backs are located in the trunk almost under the rear speakers (nonconvert) Go to your local audio store and tell them the Make Model and year of your car and they have an adapter harness to hook up a aftermarket stereo to your system. Actually with an aftermarket radio the system sounds better and louder. I just put a JVC in my 95 GT with the 460 system and it sounds better than the stock radio did. As for a radio suggestion stay away from Kenwoods, and anything not name brand like Legacy, or that crappy Kmart radio. JVC and pioneer are good radios. Ive heard alot of complaints about sonys. hope this helps.
