on board hard drives
Looking for a new, system for my Stang. It's a 1970 cov, with a radicle motor. Because of the lopy idle, I'm thinking that a regualr CD/MP3 player will skip. What is your expierence with the new onwes with the buffers, the anti-skip technology. Has anyone tried out the new systems that have an onboard hard drive. They're like 10 gigs, plenty of room for all your music. The only thing is that they are way expensive. What are your thoughts

Trust me.....unless your John Force you motor ain't gonna make your deck skip.

I think it depends on your deck. I have a pioneer deck in my mustang and it skips all the time. I had a JVC deck in my old truck and it never skipped. My new truck has the factory 6 disk changer and I have never heard it skip either. I would assume if you bought a quality deck, that you won't have any problems.
Just my thoughts. Harry |
thanks guys. No I wish I was John Force! But it is a radical engine. A boss351 with a steep cam, 240*@.050, lift is .550. Single plain manifold, 700 holley, headers, high stall convertor, 3.89 limited slip 9 inch out back. This things lauches like nobodies business. I figure a new deck with some kind of read ahead skip buffer should be fine. I'm just making sure. Any way there's not a whole lot of money left to spend on tunes
