hooking up sub to home receiver :D

since im not allowed to put my sub in my car (my dad would freak), im hooking it up to my reciever....i have a switch box leading into my main two front channels, so placement for the wires is not an issue....my sub is an Audiobahn ALUM12....it normally runs at 3ohm (which is odd in its own way)...but the dual vc allows it to be set up in a bunch of different operations...but i lost the chart a while ago....so maybe someone can tell me how to wire it for the best performance in a 1cubic ft enclosed box....i am in a little dorm room with cement block walls....so my regular 12" 3-ways resonate beautifully...and i bet the sub would do well in my "closet"....anyways....any wiring suggestions would be appreciated... :)

I seriouly doubt your home stereo could push your woofer. That probably takes 200-300watts of RMS power to sound descent.

youd be surprised when you can do when its hooked up right...done it before ;)...course it sounds a lot different with 1000watts, but 80watts still rattles the room...
