wiring harness
I just bought the Painless Wiring installation kit for my 88' gt mustang and I'm stuck on the part about the starter relay. The old wiring harness had to plugs that connected onto the starter relay whereas the new wiring harness said to connect the wire labled starter relay to the batter post on the relay. What significance does these two plugs play? Will the starter still work with only that one wire connected?
Another question, when it came to the part on connecting the oxygen sensors, the driver side wires for the oxygen sensor had a wire coming from the oilpan. This is on the old wiring harness. What is this? Is this oil pump electrical? If so, what do I do with the wire since I'll be disgarding the old harness? |

Re: wiring harness
The wire coming from the oil pan is the "low oil level" warning light. You can live without that one.
As far as the starter solenoid goes, I'd call Painless Tech and see what they say.
