K&N Filter for a 2004 V6 Stang

Hey everyone. Im new to this board and was hoping someone could help me. I wanted to get a K&N Filter for my 2004 V6 Mustang, like this

So I found these instructions...but they were tested on a V6 '96 Mustang

My question is, would I follow these instructions for my V6 2004?
