Exclamation Suggestions on lowering my E.T.

Lastnight I went to the local 1/8 mi. strip
Car ran good, smoked a 97 Z28 twice!!
scared me a little at first as I'm a newbie & he did a mean burnout(in the water on drag radials, that ain't right is it) anyway I went around the water, cleaned off my McCreary 265/60/15 drag radials(they're really dirt track tires but are soft & have a 000 tread rating, are these good enough?)
So the lights came down & I handed him his Bowtie with his a** wrapped in it!!!! It was awesome!!After the 2nd whoppin' I went and talked to him but he did'nt have much to say! Somthing about only having a cam, "I don't even have that" I said "but I do got your daddy!!".
Okay sorry I'm just exited
My best run was
60' 2.03
E.T. 9.07 @ 76.95

It was hot and humid and some guys said everybody was off, but I ran 8.89 @ 78.38 with a 1.98 60' before 1.7 RR's and head and intake work??? I blame the heat??
I was running 15 psi in tires and I don't think the spun any, agian this was like my 9th run ever so i couldn't be sure, what tire pressure would you guys suggest?

Fuel pressure was at 36psi base timing 16*
Sorry so long thanks for input

Default Hot and humid?

I do know from experience that hot and humid air will cost me at least .3 seconds ET in the 1/4 mile as compared to cold and dry air.

Each 10 degrees F is said to cost 1% brake HP. There are lots of sub programs in the dyno simulation and drag strip simulation computer programs that purport to correct HP and ET's for different atmospheric conditions.

Default

I'm concerned about my loss of trap speed, can this also be attributed to weather?
I'm worried I've made my E7's worse (if that's possable) I gasket matched all ports which took a lot of iron out of the exhaust, the intake side did'nt take much to match gasket, but I may have got a little over grindy on the lower intake and it's ports may be slightly larger than the ports on the heads(I tried to lay back the edges of the ports on heads where they meet intake) larger ports on intake than on heads is BAD correct??
I also had them milled .035
