Post will a 351 fit under my mach 1 hood?

hey guys im new to this board. i got a 89 Mustang LX Sport 5.0 just got repainted coba r red with a mach 1 hood and a cobra wing. i have underdrive pullies, cold air intake, 3.73 gears and a cat back exhaust. im 17 years old, goin to BOCES for auto tech an i work at an auto parts store. m dads got a 95 GT with the same mods i do. we are big mustang fans and were pretty noligible about cars. anyway heres my question...

will a 351 FI engine fit under my cervini's mach 1 hood. its a 1.5 inch rise. i asked on another web site they said it should barley clear. i dont want to have to get lowering mounts. just a pain in the *** . also will my pullies and intake will be able to bolt back up?

thanks guys
Brian

intake no maybe the upper
pulley's yes
hood depends on new intake

new motor mounts would be easy as the engine would be out and cheap insurence with the added weight and 13 years

Most people that drop in the 351's usally have to go to a 2 1/2 cowel. Depending on the intake you have the upper may fit, but the lower will not (351= taller deck height). And the pulleys will work with no problems.

ok i talked to some1 and they told me to get GT-40 or cobra intake. he said you have to get the 351 lower then you can bolt either the gt-40 upper or the cobra upper on it. so i use 351 lower and 302 upper??? right? then it will fit without a problem? thanks
