Default Pics of "tweaked" MACH1000

Well, I spent the day yesterday taking out the 2 subs and repainting the enclosures. Ford put some kind of crappy coating on the boxes that started to peel already and looked like trash..So I spent hours sanding, priming and painting

Also added a blue neon tube that is wired into the trunk light so it turns on when the trunk is opened....what do u think?

AFTER PICS

How much horse power does that blue light give you? j/k with you. lol That looks really good. I like the idea of hooking up the light to the trunk light so it'll turn on when the trunk is open.

MACH1000 is actually an upgrade from the premium MACH460 sound system that goes in the car...they charge you an extra $1200 or something around there for two subs and a lot more wattage...

and me seeing those in your trunk make me wish i couldve gotten the option..*sniff*...anyone know if you can pay for options after youve had the car and not pay installation?

JJ: Screw that! Build your own!

For that kind of money, you can start out on a system that will rattle windows, and be crystal clear at the same time $1200 should pay for an awesome head unit and an amp. Not much more for speaks and a sub(s), and so on.

The Mach 1000 sound system includes........

-MACH® 1000 CD6 6-Disc AM/FM Digital Signal Processing Radio (4X15 watts C.A.P. at 2% THD).
-Four MACH® MA185 amplifiers (85 watts C.A.P. at 2% THD).
-Two MACH® 10" subwoofers in integral 14 liter sealed enclosures.
-Two rear seat woofer assemblies each with one 5.5" x 7.5" woofer in a 10 liter enclosure and one 2.5" mid/tweeters.
-Two subwoofer amplifiers with 85 watts C.A.P.
-Two 5.5" x 7.5" infinite baffle front door woofers.
-Two 2.5" mirror patch mid/tweeters.

and IMO is the single biggest rip off ever....I could build a system for 800-900 bucks that will stomp a mud hole in a Mach 1000 system and walk it dry.

Looks really nice man, how do you like the sound of your mach1000 system(since every1 else is dogging it), my friend had the mach460 in his 98 stang and added a big amp and a top of the line rockford fosgate punch 12" and I thought it sounded pretty nice and clean.

2%?????????????????? I think the Soundstream is .03%

No one is doggin' it, its damn good for a factory option. Tireburner and I are very aware that not everyone cares to deal with an audio shop and the hassle of picking stuff out...we were just comparing it to aftermarket stuff.

Thanks for the replys...

Actually, I also own a 2001 Dodge Dakota, and Ive basically spent about 1200 bux on an aftermarket system in that...and yes, the aftermarket system in my truck is better, but not much...

For the money, the MACH 1000 is a very good system. Yes you can get better sound with aftermarket stuff for the same money, but look at the advantages...Its all stock, wired up, custom fit..all in all Im happy

I bought my car out of dealer stock and it just happened to have the system in it, other wise I prolly wouldnt have ordered it...So Im happy I got it

I just love that fact that because I shoped around I build my system for about 800-900 bucks......and the only things that weren't new are my 3 1/2" speakers and my 4 channel amp
