Angry Radio problems

I have a 96 GT with a Mach 460 system. The radio specifically is a radio/casette player. My problem is that recently my volume control quit turning the volume down. It still turns the volume up and all other buttons on the radio work, but the volume (-) will not work. Does anyone have any ideas why this could be? Please email me with any ideas, I'm currently clueless!
