Replacing factory HU in Mach system
I recently bought a '98 Cobra (completely stock) and am looking to put in the head unit from my last car. The HU is an Alpine 9851 w/ the iPod adapter.
Anyways I had my last install done at BestBuy and when I went back to ask about a re-install his explanation got pretty confusing, but basically said that I can't do a HU replacement w/o putting in an all new amp and speakers. However, I read some where else on this forum about an adapter that plugs into the HU and functions properly with the Mach system. Any help, information, and/or links concerning this problem or the adapter would be great. Thanks! |
