Its easier to just replace the head unit and cd player. If you decide to upgrade to aftermarket, you would have to replace the 3 amplifiers, 4 6x8 woofers, 4 tweeters, that is present in the Mach 460 system. It would be ashame also being this system produces 460 watts of peak power! There are plenty being sold on ebay but you would have to look for a seller with a good reputation. Also note that Sony did a bad design job of the cd player during the early 90's. Get a head unit and cd player that has a production date of at least 1997 or above. That way, you avoid the cd players with the "clicking death" syndrome.
