Karen's got the right idea with the Xtants, you may also want to check out the Soundstream Tarantulas or the aluminum Eclipse 10s...I don't really like any of the Kicker/JL/Sony stuff, if you're gonna buy a sub, buy a GREAT sub and keep it forever

Karen: You're running Boston Acoustics? Excellent choice! The 6.5 pros? I was checking those out too, but they aren't as easy to find as other brands. Originally I had my heart set on the 6.5 HCCAs, but they were backordered I eventually decided on the Focal 165K2s

What are you talking about, my Sony Xplod 10's POUND, they out hit 2 Stroker 15's........lol

But for real, the JL Audio W7 is nice.......even thought I'd rather just buy two IDQMax's.

haha, thats wrong.

i have a buddy thats been making boxed for many years, he has a 200watt mtx 8" in a special ported box ad it hit nearly as loud as 3 12's in a ported box and was like a fourth of the size. it was designed very well.

you know....i never really liked JL audio until I heard a 13.5" W7 last night...wow....1000 clean watts pushed to it in a very nice box in the rear of an SUV....he had his passenger side windows down halfway and the air pushing out the windows was incredible since this is merely one sub...very nice looking sub too...clean...its my new favorite

So the W7's are living up to what i've heard about them. I really need to demo some 13.5" W7's, curious how much louder and clearer two would be than my set of 3 10" w3's I've got right now.

It seems alot of people on here like the W7. I have personally never heard one but from hearing what other people had to say they sounded like they were a waste of money. Good subs but too much money. But that could be different now I dunno lol.

The W7 is a ecellent sub, but IMO is a bit pricey. You could get two IDQMAX's for the price of one W7. Price biases peoples opinions, if the W7 was $200 bucks, it would be hailed as one of the greatest subs on the market.
