Post SN-95 w/ Mach 460 Stereo HUMS LIKE ....

Has anyone else had this problem? It'll last for the whole car ride, (I can turn the stereo off and on 100 times) and it won't go away.

But, the next day, it'll work fine.. And, its weather-independent from my observations..

Any advice? How to fix it?

Thanks,
Jani

Hey,
I got a 95GT with the Mach 460 system with cd and it sounds great but the cd player sucks. It keeps making a noise like it is eating the cds.

The only thing I can tell you is to do what I'm gonna do on saturday. Yank that sucker out of there. I know that Circuit City sells an adapter for like $20 to make it easy.

I also have the humming noise in my 94. The new radio did not stop the noise from a new cd player. I only have it once in a while now.

The humming is apparently being caused by a bad ground that has something to do w/ the a faulty fuel pump. Ford did issue a recall on the fuel pump.

This problem happened only in 92-94 mustangs regardless of model.

Easy fix: go to Radio Shack and pick up a $15 noise supressor or have it installed by pro.

Good Luck

First off, don't listen to green94droptop, he so ugly and his car needs new hubcaps (inside joke).

Ok, but really, my '95 came with the Mach 460. Although it is a good system, I would reccomend replacing the whole thing with complete aftermarket equipment. Thats what I did and I love the sound. My reccomendation.

the problem is a bad connection. there is a connection that runs along the driver side kick panel. try kicking right below the foot rest (in that area). mines been doing that since i got it (3yrs). i give it a swift kick and it goes away for awhile.

Yeah...start with the ground wire at the back of the head unit and pull untill the whole Mach system comes out. LOL

I put a pioneer cd player and a 200 wayy amp in my 84, with 2 10" subs and 2 6x9's, it sounds killer, and plenty of bass...

I had the same problem, buzzing, I upgraded all the wires and it quit....
