Mach 460 problem-- Amp or H/U gone? HELP PLEASE
I have an '01 Convertible with the Mach 460 factory / 6CD changer installed. Yesterday while driving a horrific loud noise started coming out of the left side and the music died. I turned off the radio and the noise continued for several seconds. I turned the radio back on and the same noise was there and it continued after I turned off the radio again.
I left it off until I got to where I was going. When I got back in the car the right side came on without the "amp kick in" increase in power but the left side was not on. After about 2 minutes my noise was back. I have no clue what is going on. Does this sound like the H/U has gone or has the Amplifier died? Any help would be greatly appreciated since this is my wifes car and I am now sleeping in the doghouse for "Blowing up" her stereo. I have a brand new 06 Pontiac Solstice on order and she tells me that her stereo had danged well better be working before I take deliver on a $27,000 vehicle with the 7 speaker Monsoon XM Satelite stereo in it. Thanks. Thanks, Jerry Housh jerryfr40@yahoo.com |
