Default Noise for first minute of starting

I recently put my car back together and now two days later im starting to hear a ticking noise from the passenger side valve cover area. Now it goes away after a minute of driving but just wondering what it could be? My friend mentioned a lifter could be the problem but any advie would be a great help! Thanks alot.

I've had the same thing happen with my old header gaskets. When the car is cold the exhaust can escape out of the warn gasket making the ticking noise, but as the engine warms up the gasket expands. Another thing to check is to make sure you have all your header bolts in and tight.

my buddy had that problem too. found out it was a lifter, was using 20w50 at the time, switched to 10w30 and no ticking anymore.
