Default Mach 460 speaker size?

i've looked several places on the net, and the only sizes that crutchfield or anyone else lists are the door and rear dash speakers.

i've got a '95 GT with mach 460, and i want to know what size speakers are in the pillar pods. i assume they are dome tweets, but would like to know what size, without having to tear apart the thing yet.

any help would be really appreciated.

I want to say they are 2" speakers. They might be 2.25 or 2.5. Not sure

Ok I looked it up. They are 2.5" speakers

Whoa, 7897 VERY nice unit, IMHO. I wish I had the dough to drop $600 bucks on a HU. I just recently sold my JVC Digifine SH-707 cause I needed money to fix the GT. I'm probably gonna get a Alpine when I get a new HU. Anything as long as I get rid of the stocker I had to put back in it

For speakers I say Kappa's or Alpine Type R's

Are you gonna run any subs?

yeah, i don't have the cash right now, and i need to get the GT back on the road, but maybe with my tax return.
oh, and, $430 unopened, undamaged on ebay. otherwise i wouldn't be getting it.
yeah, i'm gonna run some subs, but not for quite awhile. i'm not even positive about the HU right now. i was for sure, but now i HAVE to pay off my car this spring, and that's almost 2g, and it's going to eat up most of my funds. but when i get my school loan/grant money in the fall, i might do the subs. but definitely the speakers are coming sometime soon.
so those are your recommendations for quality/sound? i was also wondering about what kind would be good for the 5 1/4s and 6x8s? i'm not really up on current audio prods, i haven't been for about 5 years. i've just always loved Alpine, so that's the unit i'm going with. my first aftermarket head unit was alpine, and since then i've been a diehard fan.
