Default rewiring stock foglights

i still have working stock GT fog lights. i also have the common problem of the headlights flickering off after the fogs have been on for about 15-25 minutes. i've been reading that the stock wiring is garbage as all 4 lights feed of the same wire and i believe it gets too hot and kills the headlights. i've read many fixes for this problem but everyone seems to do it a different way. so...what's the easiest and best way to wire my fogs so i can use them safely and maybe even use them independently? please as detailed as possible, thanks

Corral I believe has an illustrated how-to in the tech section writtem by Chris Ihara.

It's not the wiring, overloading the stock switch is the problem. Here is a schematic of the "fix" if that helps. I put my relay in the dash behind the light switches.

I tried to attach a gif and a jpg schematic but the site said they were "invalid" file types - even thougyh they were not - sorry...

Done, now edit out that email address so that robot spiders don't pick it up and send you a ton of junk mail.

cool thanks tmoss. in chris' article on corral, he said to put an a fuse holder between the new relay and the battery but failed to mention what size fuse is appropriate. according to the diagram you sent me, it look like a 15 amp fuse. thats what i'll be using so correct me if i'm wrong, thanks

That's what I used 4 years ago and no problems to date.

You are going to be very satisfied with the look and proper operation. I can't tell you how many comments I get with just the fogs and parking lamps on.
