Door Windows and Lock switches?
I need new power door window and power lock buttons for my car. Can I buy new switches or do I have to go to a Junkyard and snip them off a donor car. My dad was saying that there might be a connection under the dash for the door wiring harness that holds door locks and window motors so all that I would have to do is goto the Boneyard and get 2 door harnesses?
My car is in my sig.

Re: Door Windows and Lock switches?
Well its pretty easy to remove the door panel & take the swtches apart or unplug them from the back side of the switches.
Or if you want to get in over your head... You can remove the kick panels & expose the plugs for the PW & DL. These are from the door to the car harness. You will hard pressed to find a car in the JY that would have the harness intact. Most of them have been cut for removal of other parts. Are you positive the switches are what is bad? L8R Meotchh |

Re: Door Windows and Lock switches?
My door panels are already off, The only parts of my interior that are left inside my car is the dash and two front seats... I need new lock switches because they are not even in the car and on my drivers window switch the passenger window button doesnt work(if that made sense)

Well then check some local yards then. You MIGHT get lucky & find one without a cut or damaged harness that plugs in at the kick panel. It is MUCH easier to replace this harness with the doors off the car.

Re: Door Windows and Lock switches?
I've had good luck with Hydro-e-lectric, I've bought from them a few times. I thought their prices were fair too, compared to the dealership. I personally would go with new when it comes to door lock actuators and window switches(or motors for that matter).
