Default remote keyless entry transmitter distance increase

I was looking to increase the distance of my remote keyless entry on my 98 Mustang. I have to stand 10 feet before it works right now.

Does anyone know how to make it better?

Thanks

Changing your battery might help some.

he's right, the battery in your keyless entry is now 5 years old and new one will probably boost distance. The batterys aren't very expensive.
