Default Remote amp turn-on on 09 GT

Hi all. I'm new to this particular Mustang forum and was hoping I could find a bit of help.

I wired up my amp and subs leaving my existing Shaker 500 system in place. I followed this thread, which is pretty good.

How To: Amp Install (w/ Pics! 56k warning) - MustangForums.com

It says to use the grey/yellow wire in the harness. I don't have a grey/yellow in my 09...I know this for sure as I spent about 2 hrs looking for it. I found another write up that specified use the grey/black. This is only a 5.5v source and is not enough to kick on my ED nine.1.

I was wondering if anyone else could help me out here. What 12V source are you using for your amp?

Thanks.
