'00 vs. '04 A/C-radio bezel
Hope someone here can help with this question...
I have an '04 coupe w/factory AM/FM/CD/MP3; friend has an '00 convertible with aftermarket headunit. We're exploring whether it's possible to swap headunits. My '04 factory unit is that 1.75-ish DIN height; friend's aftermarket is standard 1 DIN. The problem is that friend's '00 bezel has a crossbar above AND below the single-DIN radio, and my '04 bezel has one above but NOT below in order to accommodate that taller factory radio. Is there a center panel bezel that will fit the '00 that does NOT have that DIN space divided by a second crossbar? Will an '04 bezel fit an '00 and solve the problem? (Even if they'd fit, we can't swap bezels because the '04 is charcoal with the silver trim, and the '00 is parchment.) Any help/advice would be appreciated. Thanks! |

Your cage/sleeve around the deck will hold it in place, until I got my 00' gt I never even seen a cross bar in a deck location.
