Question bright light not working? its not the bulb

my passenger side headlight turns off completely when i turn the brights on but the drivers side works, the filiment inside the bulb wasnt broken but i tried a new bulb anyway and it still doesnt work, im sure its in the wiring somewhere but im just seein if anyone has had this problem before and knows how to fix it for sure, thanks guys

It's probably a bad ground connection. I'm assuming the driver's side low AND high beam comes on with no problems, right? The ground is that little eyelet screwed into the chassis right above the headlight assembly. Kinda cheap way to do it, don't you think? Anyhoo, remove the sheet metal screw, shine up the connection (both the eyelet and the chassis itself) with a little sandpaper, and bolt it back down. Hope this helps.

But doesn't that ground serve both low and high beams? I guess it's worth a shot, but I'd guess that you have a bad wire somewhere. Only way to know for sure if the ground thing doesn't work is to grab an ohm meter and start poking. Good luck.
