Unhappy i thought it was my brake shoes

my right rear brake was making a sound. it was a metal on metal sound and it did not sound healthy. so today i pulled the wheel off and to my dismay i found that my drum was split in two. it is a clean break and now i have a bigger problem of adjusting and fiddleing to make it work with my spare drum. (it's always nice to have a spare mustang or two laying around if you need parts for your falcon with all due respect to the mustang the best muscle car ever built)

Man alive! I've never heard of a drum splitting, but I guess it can happen.

Maybe it was turned more than recommended? Whtever happened, you will need a new drum AND NEW SHOES.
