|  Sub box dimensions Hey Tireburner, finally got my system in the mail. Good reccomendations this thing looks like it'll rock. I've got the 10" sub what size box should I put this in? I'm probably going to have to build it due to the trunk dimensions.

| If I remember correctly you got the Alpine Type R 10". If so, Alpine calles for a 0.5 - 0.8 cubic feet for a sealed box. This should present little to not problem fitting it in your trunk.

| Hey you've got a good memory. Thats right it's a type R 10". Now you sya I need between .5 to .8 cu/ft of space in the box. Is that before or after i put the sub in? I mean do I build say a .5 cu/ft box and put the sub which will take up space thus lowering the amount of free space in left in the box. Or do I build a box bigger than .5 cu/ft say 1 cu/ft. Then install the sub and have .5cu/ft of space left after taking into consideration the size of the subwoofer? All I have to do is find out the volume of the subwoofer and that should be easy. Alpine probably has that listed somewhere.

| Alpine has already done the work for you. Just build a 0.5-0.8 cubic foot box and you will be in specs. Alpine has already acounted for the volume the sub will take up. I would suggest building the box on the larger side, ie 0.75 or 0.8
