Default Another Damn Ticket!

Well last month I got a ticket for going around a slow right turner and crossing the yellow line. Im taking that one to court.

Two nights ago I was driving on a open strech of road in Ojai here, not a car in sight. ~10pm. I was thinking about this robbery and all that bullshit, and just driving along, and I see cop lights.

I pull over, and I am sooo sickeningly nice to this female officer (for lack of another word I would like to use). I asked her how she was doing etc. She asked me if I knew how fast I was going, I said honestly no, my speedo doesnt work but I believe it was a little over 40 (in a 35zone).

She left and came back, and I explained to her, I wasnt paying attention to the speed, I was thinking about this damn robbery, and its just been plaging my mind. I then told her it would be a really big favor and I would really appreciate it if she could just write me a warning. She just said "the tickets already written" she didnt give a **** what I said, and just handed it over.

I then got even more nice. And said, thanks, I know its your job, its ok. And I told her if she ever needed computer help to give us a call, and I gave her one of my cars. I could tell you looked kind of surprized I was still being so nice to her. So hopefully she wont show for court.

If she does buy a computer you can bet I'm adding the price of the ticket into it. :-D

Was she a Sheriff's deputy or CHP? CHP flakes on alot of tickets, but the Sheriffs dept. is headquartered 50 yards north east of the court. When are your court dates? I just live 2 blocks from the Govt. Center. Hehe, you're not going to Vegas anytime soon, are you? I don't think your luck would do much for you right now.

Take care,
-Chris

Default that sucks dude

Not to brag, but I've never been given a ticket in my life (I'm knocking on wood as I type this). I've been pulled over at least a dozen times and twice while drag racing. I like to tell everyone that I have diplomatic immunities.

It was a ventura county cop. Ojai cop, whatever. This short girl, Ive run into her a few times. Always bitchy, always on a power trip.

She always eyes my car when I drive by, and this is the first ticket I've ever got in the stang.

Im gonna goto court anyways jut to see what I can do. I dont think it can hurt.

No, no vegas for me.. hah.

Tough break Sky,

Cost of Gas: $25
Getting a ticket: $100
Making a sale while getting a ticket: PRICELESS!

I would suggest a track the next time you need to drive out some worries

What a saleman you are Skyman. lol That is rough though, I hate cops that are on powertrips. My g/f's dad is a cop and I got a careless driving ticket back in the beginning of December for my accident. I havn't got it back with a court date and usually it only takes 2 weeks, it was supposidly going to be taken care of by him. So I don't know if that is what he ment. Hmm... either way I'm liking it. But I've been warned from my parents if I get another ticket or accident they are taking my licence away.

Default These officers

Sky, it's unfortunate that we can't really call these officers what they really are. The MW editorial policies preclude an adequate description.

I hate to say it, but Stang Runner may be right. When I had my '69 Chevelle SS, I painted it Porsche Red w/ black stripes. I received enough tickets in that thing to wallpaper a small bathroom. Still though, if this was your first in it, who knows. Maybe you were just due.

Take care,
-Chris
