Post auto trans problem

Several months ago, I could'nt get in low gear in my 88'5.0. Now I can't get in drive. The shifter seems to be stuck on something. I'm having to drive in overdrive. How can I fix this? Thanx

ummm.... wrong section to post this question in. I'm sure someone will move it to the correct location though. Hope you get your answer as I can't help.
