Default Engine Paint

My friend is going to paint his block. We were arguing over what color to pain it. What do yall think about these colors and what other colors to you prefer...

1) Light Ford Blue
2) Silver / Ford Grey
3) Dark Red
4) Black

He says that the blue would look "gay". Silver would be good but it's not the silver of the intake/heads. Dark Red would be really nice, but it's hard to find a red dark enough. I don't like black cuz you can't see if you are leaking any fluids.

Any other suggestions?

I've always based what color I paint my engine on what color my car is. Since my GT is red, I painted my engine well... RED.

Here's my old 500 HP 302 combination before I built my 377:

I have my 351W painted Dark Ford Blue. It looks great. You can't see the block very well in this picture though. Engine looks sweet though!

I painted my block black when the motor was built. That way it would never look dirty!

almost every motor I've painted has been dark Ford blue. It looks great. I'll try and get a pic up tonight so you can see it although you can only really see it on the front end.
