Default gauge pods

would it be possible to nig rig one of those gauge pods from earlier stangs to fit on my 68. im talking about the pods that go on the drivers side "a" pillar molding

I've thought about thay myself. I'm looking for a place to mount my gauges too. There is not much room underneath them to run the wires. You would have to go through the piller itself. The the gauge itself would stick out a little to far for my tastes. And last the mounting cups would have to be custom made. Trying to adapt the stoch ones from a mid80's stang would probably look cheesy.
