Post New engine is Alive!

Got the new engine running tonight. Had i
few problems, but it runs. I had plaster
falling of the ceiling of my shop, open
Hooker super comps and a nasty cam!!!
I think i need to get it connected to
the mufflers to continue tuning. I'm really
happy.

Regards,

Brings back memories from a few years ago. I fired mine up in the driveway with just Tri-Y headers before I got the exhaust system built. The neighbors next door came running out of their house, thinking there had been an explosion. Hee, hee, hee. They were cool though when they found out it was just crazy old Rev firing up his new engine.

Not sure if it's just my machine, but your web-site caused an 'illegal operation' error on my machine and closed internet explorer right after 'Mustang' turned into 'My Stang'. Just thought I'd let you know.

Fostang, you've got more balls than I did. After the neighbor thing, I had mine towed to the muffler shop. The main thing that I worried about was if the shop guys would go out and "test out" my new engine with 0 miles on it. Who knows if they did or not?

Yup I had some balls going 35 m/h with no headers down a busy road...the worst part that since it was sunday they were only open from 9-1 and there was 5 dual exhaust and some cats too change and it was barely 8:50..therefore I was told to come back tomorrow and they do it so once again fire that baby up and head home...gotta get up and do it again tomorrow he he hee

when i got my car running i had open headers. i let it sit in my driveway running for 30 min and then the next day had to go to the muffler shop. Going down one of the busiest streets in memphis at 45-50. cops drove by me and everything, i loved every minute of it, of course when i got to the muffler shop my ears were ringing.
