Looking for hood pins that lock?
I have hood pins on my 90 mustang. I live in apartments and do not want anyone to open my hood when I am away. Does anyone know where I can get hood pins that lock? Does anyone have a alternative suggestion?
Thanks ------------------ |

Hi,
What kind of hood-pin is it? Hair-pin or Torsion? Either way, can't you just go down to a dollar store or somethin and get tiny locks? Something small that it doesn't flap around and touches your hood. I put in Mr. Gasket hair-pin style pins; looks great, although i think the material sucks; the hole the pin goes through is startin to rust (not noticable unless you look REAL close). Ive seen hood pins that are flat with a lock like a coke machine. I think it uses a round key. Check Summit.

so you removed your factory latch? i would just re-install that, from what i've seen on fiberglass hood adds say that you should use the factory latch AND pins

key locks for hoods like CREWZIN was saying. http://www.jcwhitney.com/product.jhtml?CATID=4706
I'm not a fan of JC Whitney by any means, but they make the key locks. |

Summit also carries a Mr. Gasket version of the key locks for around $25.
