Won the bid!!! $595 for brand new polished Cobra rims! I am mounting them on the Capital Negotiator NH700's the car already has, I put them on right after we bought it in November, they have less than 5K miles on them. They should be in this coming Monday, will post pics.

Nice coupe! I don't think you're anywhere near 300hp though....

Nice car especially for such a young dude. Treat her right.

A word of caution, avoid putting hp data without dyno results. The reason is that other owners pay close attention to this stuff because everyone is always looking at mods and how they work together. It is also useful information for when we are making useful decisions on our own cars. If you don't have dyno data, you can always say that.

For example, my car has never been on a dyno, but I suspect that it has about 260 rwhp. That is different that making a statement that it does.

I feel your delemma with this car. It looks so nice in the photos that it seems a shame to modify as it will be a classic soon especially witht he '05's comming out. These cars are getting harder and harder to find...especially nice ones.

If I were you, I think I would only perform common, desirable mods that keep the virtue of the car intact. Things like exhausts, rims (which it has already), and gears (which I think I saw it had 3.55's) would fit that pattern.

The exhaust options that you listed all sound like great ideas for the type of sound you want.

Good luck!

New picture, both the 97 GT Vert and the 98 GT, the 98 has new Polished 04 Cobra Rims and new Steeda Sport springs to lower it 1 1/4 inches, the 97 has new 17 X Polished Cobra R's. I am getting the Steeda springs for the 97 soon, kinda looks like a 4X4 next to the 98, I can't let my son outdo me.

What is that on page 2 of the cardomain link with gigantic wing on it? Please don't put one of those on the LX.

Stang_Crazy 07-19-2004 09:13 PM

That's a Capri on page 2. A Capri that I feel very very sorry for. It doesn't deserve that wing. Donate the wing to your local park so the people can have a bench to sit on.

Park bench...that's a good one. You know, as long as there are guys willing to make their cars look silly, just makes mine look better.
