Re: Cleaning the engine...
Simple Green works good, I like Greased Lightning too. I have a friend who washes his engine and then sprays it all over with that foam type ArmorAll and lets it sit and wipes it down, makes all the black plastic and rubber look awesome.

A good engine degreaser like GUNK works well. Apply their dressing afterwards to give the engine bay a showroom shine!!!

Re: Cleaning the engine...
I wouldn't recomend Simple Green or pressure washing. I detail professionally and pressure washing is a big no no. Simple Green can be okay if it's diluted but I still wouldn't recomend it. Go with a natural degreaser like Poorboy's World http://secure.detailedimage.com/Merc...gory_Code=PB00 and a Cleaner for vinyl rubber etc like 303 Aerospace Cleaner http://secure.detailedimage.com/Merc...gory_Code=3000.

303 is AWESOME stuff!! It doesn't leave a greasy shine at all. And it's pretty cheap too!
