94 convertible top
 
im trying to buy a convertible top but dont know weather to get plastic or glass, and would i be able to put it on by myself?

I've seen plenty of yellowed or cracked plastic windows, I would go with glass.

As for if you can do it yourself? I don't know. I would probably have a shop do it myself, just so it ends up looking nice.

I can tell you my experience on that. First of all, Glass is the only choice. I will tell you why. I have done many many things to cars over the years, But replacing a convertible top ranks right up there with the most difficult and frustrating things i've ever done. So you do not want to have to replace it sooner than you have to, Also the price difference it not that much. I have done it 2 times. The first time it came out okay. The second time it looks professional. But just remember it ain't easy. Good Luck!!

A glass window for sure.Plastic gets scratched the first time it goes down and needs replaced in about a year.This body style is the easiest to install a top on.I would use an Electron top as they fit well,are marked and not too expensive.If you have a 12 point 13mm socket,phillips screw driver,torks bits,scissors,staple gun,coat hanger,contact cement,common sense and patience you can do it.
