Headlight yellowing & discoloration

Can anyone tell me how to remove the yellowing and discloration from my headlight lenses? I just bought a 1990 LX and it sticks out like a sore thumb.

they had an article in an older 5.0 Mustang mag, i got 600 and 1500 grit sandpaper and went to town while holding a hose over it with low pressure to keep the plastic wet, just with this it made them look a whole lot better but left them kinda dull, then the mag said to use a buffing wheel on a somewhat low speed and some metal polish, i did that and they look almost brand new, one of mine has moisture in it that i cant seem to seal out though http://smilecwm.tripod.com/cwm/crying.gif so i may put my headlight covers back on, let us know if you like the results after doing this, im sure you'll love it
