I agree they look good, Ive never seen them before, but Id buy them. They would look good with some skinny five star rims.

Orange Tx?

I'm from Bridge City, class of 98

Shawn King

you?

I grew up in Alabama. Used to live in LaPlace, La. That is not too far from Belle Chase.

Cals of '98... I wish. I am just an old f*art having some fun with a Mustang. I have sons one class of '96 and one '02 that went to Kelly.

Bridge City is growing. New development over on Hiway 62 across the bayou. It probably got started before you left. Bridge City is a nice place.

You could save $400 and paint your stock calipers yourself. They wouldn't have the little pony on them but who is going to see what's on your calipers when you're driving?

I have seen those a few places...they look great. You can buy all four calipers with drilled rotors for about $750 (Sacremento Mustang for example).

I kind of agree with stang crazy...I painted mine. And you can get the horses on line too for a few bucks. I have seen them a few places.

If I recall though, those calipers are a big upgrade over stock. For me, I would put them on if I had to replace mine for some reason anyway.

I have the paint but the weather has not been right. I am going to paint them when the temp gets up a bit in about a month or so.

Just thought the Bullit callipers were cool and had not seen them. I have not been driving the Mustang but about 3-4 months but I am sure the brakes are not as good as I had on the Contour SVT which had upgraded brakes and suspension. When it is time to change out the Mustang rotors, etc. I believe I will upgrade to something like the Bullit or at least some better system. I like good brakes.

John:

I could not agree with you more. I will upgrade mine too then.

You know I saw an advertisement the other day for $6.99 brake pads. I would not put my worst enemy in a car with cheap pads like that, let alone trust the lives of my family with crappy brakes.

What color paint did you get?

Stang_Crazy 02-10-2004 09:10 PM

$6.99 pads, HAHA that's funny.

Blake, I got the red paint you recommended from Sacramento Mustang. Now you mention it I wonder if black would go better with my mineral gray car. I know red is "the" color but why wouldn't black work and keep the color scheme, gray car, black smoke headlights, black interior, window tint, etc.

xxxBlakexxx 02-11-2004 09:47 PM

I don't think I have ever seen black or grey painted calipers. I suspect that they would give your car a nice clean look...the red would really stand out. I suppose it's all in what you are going for. Of course, you could always re-paint them if they dud not turn out right.

Try putting some black tape on them first.
