![]() Well Im looking at some Mustangs and I am looking at white, black, or red. I like black a lot, but living in Houston, Texas will the darker color increase the probalitlty of my engine over heating (especially if I am pushing the engine hard like mid day).
Thank you, Ace ------------------ The future owner of a 95 Mustang GT |

![]() I don't think the color of your car will have much to do with how hot it runs.

![]() Don't worry about it.
Yes, black will hold the heat a bit more than white or even red but it shouldn't have any noticable effect on your car's cooling ability. To eliminate cooling problems, be sure you're running a well-functioning cooling system; clean radiator (sized properly), good hoses, high-functioning fan and water pump, 180 or 192 degree thermostat, non-slipping serpentine belt, 60/40 water/coolant mixture and a bottle of Water Wetter and you should be fine, even on those hot Texas days. |

![]() I went from a white stang to a black 95 GT. Keep the windows dinted and get a windshield screen for when you're not in it, and it won't be that bad at all. I'm in South Florida which is a lot like Hell, except hell is cooler in the summer. And I don't think it's that bad. (oh...and black also takes longer to acquire a reading from a police laser unit...hehehehe, insider secret...sssssshhhhh).
