|  racing stripes i was thinking about putting either some racing stripes or some side panel mustang stripes on my stang, i was wondering how hard this is to do yourself? and if you would have to clear coat over them to make them look decent? |

| Re: racing stripes You won't need to clear coat them, but I highly recommend you get a professional detailer to do the job. Nothing's worse than a bad vinyl stripe job.....

| Re: racing stripes Do it yourself. I did for the first time. Just take your time and plan it out. I taped the stripe down were I wanted it and marked it with a grease pencil on the car and just took my time. I was really pleased how it looked. |

| Re: racing stripes I had the stripe kit already purchased and had the place that painted my car do it. I can’t remember what I paid them to do it, but I want to say it was $150.00 tops. They did a great job, much better then I could have done. Ryan

| Re: racing stripes Try www.rallystripes.com . You can put them on yourself and save $500. I have seen a lot of stripe jobs that were done by the car owner and they look every bit as good as professional jobs. If you want painted on stripes then I would definately recommend going to a good paint shop. The look is the same but the painted on stripes will last longer. |
