Rim Cleaner
 

I'm looking for a cleaner that's not too harsh on the polished rims.

Eagle for Polished Al rims. They got it for Chrome too. Make sure you use the right one.

Oh yeah, and Gojo hand cleaner works well when the time comes to clean the inside of the rims.
