Angry Rim Cleaners

Two years ago I bought new pony rims. I've notice since then, the coating is starting to peel. I believe it's from using the harsh cleaners on the rims that I buy from autozone and peepboys. Does anybody know where I can buy rim cleaners that are used on BMW's, Benz's ect. I'm sure the more expensive cars uses the stuff with out the acid or chemicals in this cleaners.

Thanks

Cool

Myself I use car wash soap.It works very well.I have Weld draglite wheels on my car.The soap is good enough for your paint(meaning it won't strip your wax off your paint,so it is safe enough for your wheels

I use soap or sometimes the Armour All rim cleaner (a silver-grey spray bottle) and have had no problems. Hope that helps.

I agree with the other guys, soap, water.and elbow grease. there is even special waxes that can be used on metal and alloys, the one I use is made by protect-all and I use it on everything from rims to the plastic on my motorcycle, the pipe too.just go to youre local auto parts store and read some labels

I only use white wall cleaner and a bug sponge. It is not harsh and will cut the brake dust. I was up to 20 cars a day and have never had a complaint about the rims peeling.
