Cool Need help with choosing tires!

I just got my pony a few months ago and I'm thinking of changing my rims and tires. I already choose the rims (HRE 546R) but I have no clue what tires to choose. I'll welcome any advice! Thanks...

For my 2001 GT that I rebuilt the outside of, I needed Cobra wheels obviously to go with the rest of the work, I did'nt want chrome so I went with highly polished aluminum (looks and cleans up just as nice, don't waste money on chrome). And I wanted 245/45/17 in the front (standard wheel size) and 275/40/17 in the back (17"x10.5")...but I bought different sizes by mistake...17"x10.5" in the FRONT and 17"x11" in the back! These things are HHUUUGE..they look like Corvette tires and they turned out to be great! The car actually handles better so I can take turns like a maniac in the rain...and when I hit the gas to break out the weight of the wheels keeps the rotors from spinning them too much, just enough to make a good burn, then the car takes off like you would'nt believe. All else I added was a cold air intake and cat-back Flowmaster exhaust...but I can't get over how much those huge tires made that kind of a difference. They look really great too, and by the way don't let anyone tell you 275/40/17 wheels won't safely fit the front of one of these, thats what I used to think. They fit great (and wear nicely on both sides).

I went with the khumo 712's and they're ok. You can look into the Fusion tires. Good reviews. If money not really an issue, then you can go with the Michelin's.

I currently run 275/40/17's in the front on 17x9 inch rims and 315/35/17 in the back on 17x 10.5. The offset look is really the way to go on a stang IMO. I am running Sumi HTRZ. I have also used the Kuhmo 712's but in a different size as they don't make 315's. The Kuhmo MX is a way better tire then the 712's and a great tire to use for the rear.
