Default carbon fiber hood

heyy guys i want to put a carbon fiber hood on my 96 mustang gt. But i'm afraid it might look to much like a rice burner. I don't want anything that looks like those little punks that rev at anything and everything with there little 4 banger with 150 hp. and 1.8 liter engines. So any feedback would be great. thanks monroegt.

:-/ i dunno man...carbon fiber is really in the rice can.....if i were u .id just get maybe a Cobra R hood or sum kind of cowl....i dont know if its just me...but ive never seen a mustang with a carbon fiber hood on the road...dont try to be like ricers....its easy for us mustang owners...all we'd have to do is buy a wing thats twice the size of the car and a 10 dollar muffler tip. Let the ricers "TRY" and copy us with their 1.6 L engines and carbon fiber cigarette ashtreys....did i answer ur question??

If you put on a carbon fiber hood you would have to follow that up with a huge wing on the back and some of those Lambo doors...

Oh, and lots of stickers

Thumbs up Re: carbon fiber hood

I am thinking of getting a carbon fiber hood. But having it painted to match the car. Trying to save weight out of my stang.

Carbon fiber isnt ricey.

My car is black and I have considered getting a stock reproduction carbon fiber hood and not painting it.

i wanted one too, but from a body shop guy who just fixed my stang "it is VERY hard to make a carbon fiber hood match and fit perfectly with the stangs"

if the hood matches the color of your car then that isn't too bad. But if it contrasts then I would not do it. Your best option would be to get a fiberglass hood with a raised cowl

On a dark colored Stang, I think the carbon fiber hood would look pretty good.

i think it would look sweet on a black stang like mine...im thinking about getting one and keeping it like it is...(correct me if im wrong, do they come in a black and grey pattern?? that would look cool on black if they do come in that pattern

One thing to remember about the lil ricer punks is that they don't have a mustang, find a nice CF hood that matches the color, or worse comes to worse have it custom painted and put it on. One suggestion I would make is finding one with a small scoop to resemble a classic muscle car look.
