I've heard very bad things about Cincinatti Composites. Poor service, poor quality, etc. You may want to ask around, if you haven't already done so.

I believe Cobra Auto Designs and Cincinatti Composites are the same company. Someone else will need to verify, but I'm almost positive.

ahhhh, dont buy that hood, its frekin ugly

I have the same hood without the scoops and I got it from Design Concepts. I had to do absolutely NO trimming at all and it fits every bit as good as a Cervini's hood. The finish was also excellent.
$250 + shipping. Can't beat that for the quality

Heres a picture of it, if you wanna see more, i've got plenty

and about the hood, i think it would be pretty intresting. I saw it for the first time the other day, not on a car, just the pic of a hood. I always loved those scoops on the 96-98 cobra's. If i had a 96-98, i would be torn between that hood and a cobra r, both look freakin sweet on those cars. but on a fox coupe, i would say go for it. I think it might be pretty sweet. If you do, definatly send some pictures this way

Yea i will send pics, but now im thinking of going cheap and just getting one without scoops, trying to save some money, the smoothe curves on the cobra hood doesnt seem like it would look good on a boxy coupe, but im gonna do it anyway, everyone and their brother has 3-4 inch cowls around here, trying to be somewhat different, also, my car is white so im going to leave the hood black a while, until i get a paint job, which my paint looks alright so far except i cant wait to get a fresh coat.

I love the scoops on 96-98 cobras. but i hate them on anyother hood. They are too close together on the hood you are talking about. And have you seen them on the new "boss" F150, PUKE
anyway, heres some more pictures of my POS

the pictures are from a cheapass camera, so sorry about the quality. Trust me, even though its got curvy lines, it looks great on a fox

heres one more

and about your original question, You would just have to run a ground wire and attach it to the mouting bracket somehow, because the mounting bracket on the factory one is the source of the ground for the light when its on a steel hood. Ever notice that its just one wire going to it?

I forgot to say that I have the Cobra R SVO. No it does not have a light mounting spot. Mine was so weak that it did not matter anyways. The hood came in white gelcoat. I have pics of it on my Info page if you are curious. Good luck with the hoods.

Hey fiveohpatrol, that hood does fit as good as the Cervini hood! I'm impressed because I swear by them.

Does Design Concepts have a web site? I'd like to see what more they offer. I'm looking for some Cobra side skirts that are better than the ones Cervini offers.

Thanks!

they are in all of the mustang magazines and the ad says the website is www.designconceptsauto.com

Another thing, a friend of mine was telling me he was reading a post either on the lounge here or over on the corral, and that some guy did some research. Every single part number of Design Concept's is the EXACT same as Cervini's, except i think they tack on a zero on the end or something. Also, he looked up the addresses of them and said they were about 3 miles apart

So either they are the same company, or Design Concepts bought some of their molds and just added the extra digit molded in so its a "different" hood.

Another thing, if you look close, you can see it doesnt line up perfectly with my bumper cover at the top sides. This is because of the reproduction bumper cover that fits like crap. Even my stock hood didnt fit great.
I put my cobra R hood on that GT thats under the cover in those pictures which has a perfectly fitting bumper cover, and it fit like it came from the factory. That impressed me even further.

Thanks for the link. I don't read the magz much anymore...especially when it comes to body pieces...Usually stick with Cervini because of personal experiences. But that's quite interesting info. Was the price cut from Cervini as well? I'm going to head over to their site and check them out.
