Question Stock Hood fit?

I'm getting ready to do a 4 to 8cyl swap on my LX coupe. I'm going carb on this engine (5.0L w/Vic Jr intake), and was wondering how big an air filter will fit under the stock hood. I've got a Moroso open element w/ a 4" tall K&N filter from a previous car that I'd like to use if possible. Anyone know how tall an air filter will fit? Thanx, Al
