Speedo question

I have a 1989 mustang gt and my speedo goes to 85mph???? how do i change this and why was there a 85mph in there??? someone help me please....

the 140 speedo didn't come around till 1990 if you get one from the yard or eBay or a buddy, just ask the dealer if you must change the gear in the tranny (I did with my 89 LSC's 85 - 120 speedo swap)....
