Question header gaskets for 86-93 BBK equal length shorties?

What are the right header gaskets for the above named? They are going on the stock 302 block. Me and three other buds installed these headers and we all about lost our religion installing them, lol.

Wink

headers always seem to be a pain in the *** to install....

but a header gasket is the same as the exh manifold gasket!

just gotta be sure to get ALL of the old gasket off or you'll get a leak!! I had to use a dremel to remove the old gasket sealed to the heads on mine..

always check the bolts after a few miles to be sure they are still tite!!

If I go near those headers right now I am going to pop on them, j/k!

My old gaskets for the stock manifold aren't open enough and are actually smaller then the wider BBK headers.

I have had great luck with mac copper header gaskets. What sold me on them is they claimed to be reuseable and i am always fooling with stuff. They seal up great its impossible to blow one out and i have tested the reuseability and once again they preformed flawlessly.I paid $24 and a local speed shop carries them but lots of mail order places carry them as well.

You could just get some from BBK, or go to your local performance shop, they should have them. Also use some kind of light thread lock on all the bolts. If not they'll eventually come out 2 or 3 at a time.
