Last year of Functional Side Scoops?

Hey that other post about the best year of the GT got me wondering...

The side scoops on my 95 GT are functional, but on Hammer's 98 GT there are not.

Anyone know what year they stopped making the side scoops functional on the SN95 GT's?

On all the Early SN-95 Stangs I've seen, I havent seen any with functional side scoops, well on GT's, Cobras and 6 cyl cars. Not sure about Saleens and such.

Really? Hammer and I were looking at it one night and the black grating has holes in it. Then there is a vent through to the rear wheel well and there is platic vent cover. I first noticed it once when I was washing the car. On Hammer's 98 the Black grating has no holes, and is missing the vent cover in the rear wheel well.

Hey I wonder if I have discovered the difference between the GT and the GTS! The GTS has functional Side scoops!

You never know.

Anyone with a GTS please check your side scoops!
