Default I think it looks great tinted

I have a white 88 GT and have limo tint on the rear quarter panels, as well as the entire hatchback glass.

I think it looks like "rice" when people start putting different color tint to make the appearance of flames. I'm not sure if it is different color tint, but over here in CA, I see this a lot on newer mustangs. I personally think that makes it look horrible, but just normal tint is fine IMO. Keith

Is it legal in Ca to have the front side windows tinted? And if so, do you no how dark?

I agree. Window tint on a Mustang looks great. As long as it is just plain window tint. If you mess with it from there, then it is ricing it out. Those guys (Ricers) love to over doo things. Case and point a five foot aluminum wing on a little civic.

You cannot leagally tint your front and driver/front passenger windows beyond that which came from the factory in California.
