My boost gage problem
I just got my boost gage from Summit, It doesn't read at zero. Is this going to be problem, like I think its going to be? I emailed Summit, but I have not received a reply. That was about 2 weeks ago. What should I do?

no sure but on mine there is an index screw in the back .to set it to 0.
also call the tech line or autometer directly i had a problem with my fuel gauge and autometer sent the proper adjusting screw out for me.

I didn't count on it being adjustable. As you can see in the pic, I never opened it, I guess its time!

I have had bad luck with Autometer Boost gauges myself. The one I have now after 4 replacements still reads 2 psi off. When it shows 6 psi I am at 8 psi. When I am at 10 psi it shows backwards it shows 8 psi. I give up with the silly thing. I keep it to show the vacuum because it seems to be always correct. I run a PMS unit and I have a remote mechanics 5" pressure gauge and they show the same psi but the Autometer is always off.

Well I finally opened it. It is not adjustable in any way that I can tell. I never did hear back from Sumit. I guess I will pay the shipping and sent it to Autometer for warrenty.

You might try hooking up some pressure to it or a vacuum pump. It might actually read right, but the zero might be off. Before I would send it off, make sure that it truly is off.

There is a big cap screw on top you loosen to zero it. I had to do it on mine. It was obviously sealed up on a day with lower air pressure than the day you took that picture Check your weatherstation and try to zero it on a day with "average" barometric pressure in your area.
